Stage 2: (Ortu di u Piobbu -> Carozzu: outward journey: 7 h return: 5 h) Fill the gourds and the camelbaks at the source which flows in the middle of alders above the stream because you will not find a drop of water until 'to Carrozzu! The ascent to Bocca di Pisciaghja will take 3 hours 30 minutes and the route will reach 2020 m. Take the time to measure yourself up to the immensity that the point of view of the breach offers you… it's breathtaking! If the first stage of this formidable adventure can be described as physical, the second will take you into a mineral era and we must not neglect the accident-causing side of the area which can in particular put your ankles to the test. Indeed you will have to cross scree and scree as well as a succession of small snares to Bocca d'Avartoli then Bocca di l´Innominata before starting a long descent which will take you to the terrace of the Carozzu refuge.
